Riders at the 2010 year end party in Greensboro. |
It’s that time of the year, and you’re invited. The
NC Randonneurs will hold two rides next Saturday, and an evening party. You’re
welcome to join the fun.
If you wanted to try randonneuring, here’s your
opportunity. We have a ride of approximately 70 miles (111K) and a longer ride of
125 miles (200K). The rides start and finish at Natty Greene’s
near downtown Raleigh.
The rides are RUSA events and open to all
riders. The routes were mainly designed by Mike Hogan. You’ll find the country roads
especially enjoyable.
There’s a fee of $15 for the rides. After
registering and signing a waiver, you’ll get a standard brevet card. You’ll
have to have this stamped along the way at various stores or checkpoints.
The evening’s festivities are also at Natty
Greene’s. There's a $15 fee for the party as well.
