Bike Month Activities in Raleigh -- Don't Miss 'Em!

For Raleigh bicyclists, this is a big week in a big month.

May is Bike Month  and lots of activities are taking part across the Triangle. Here’s the area-wide listing on

Things are peaking this week in Raleigh, so please join the festivities. Among the events:

Tues., May 15 | Raleigh Cyclist Social 5-7PM 
Seaboard 18! (Here are directions)
Mingle with bike commuters and cyclists, and learn about Raleigh's new Bicycle Benefits program!  You can also join in the Benelux ride, which will be swinging by shortly after 6:30 p.m..

Wed., May 16 | Park and Pedal from North Hills | Meet 6:30, depart 7AM 
Take CAT 8, 24c, 37 or park in spaces against Six Forks Rd. REI tech on hand. Water bottles, water, power food, REI coupons and some swag. Helmets, waivers and registration required.

Fri., May 18 | Bike to Work Day Leadership Ride | 9AM 
Leaving from Halifax Mall, 200 Block of Lane Street, across the street from the State Legislature Building.
