Tobacco's Bloom



Flowers on a tobacco plant, taken on yesterday's Tar Heel 200K, a ride which cuts through the heart of North Carolina tobacco country.

    The blooms look like little trumpets.

    Interestingly, tobacco is in the same family (nightshade) as paprika, chili pepper, tomato, and potato.
